Kristi Noem Pulls Embarrassing Move Amid Backlash For Shooting Dog
Kristi Noem has no interest in letting people mix it up in the Instagram comments.
The South Dakota Governor has been facing an incredible amount of backlash after she decided to reveal in her upcoming book that she shot her dog Cricket.
Cricket was allegedly a bad hunting dog at the age of 14 months, and had shown aggression towards chicken and humans. Instead of serious training (which I've done myself for dogs that age), Noem responded by shooting it execution style in a gravel pit.
For a reason I will never understand, Noem decided to make this public in order to prove her leadership skills. The backlash has been unrelenting and unforgiving.
Kristi Noem limits Instagram comments amid massive backlash.
The South Dakota Governor already can't tweet anything without getting torched, and she's doing damage control on Instagram.
As of Thursday morning, Noem has limited people from being able to comment on her Instagram posts. Interesting. Why limit conversation if you're not embarrassed or ashamed of what you've done?
It takes a lot to unite Americans. We're a pretty divided country, and the divide only seems to be growing. Well, we found the one topic that absolutely unites people:
Shooting 14-month-old dogs.
To be clear, I'm even a bit of a Noem fan. I've said for a long time she'd be a solid VP choice for Donald Trump. That, of course, will never happen at this point. You simply can't be the politician who Americans are roasting around the clock and be the VP.
What will Governor Noem do next to control the backlash? I don't know, but I do know this situation is far from over.
