Kid Rock Donates $50,000 To Shooting Victims From Trump Rally

Kid Rock has donated $50,000 to a GoFundMe benefiting the shooting victims from Donald Trump's rally on Saturday.

A gunman opened fire at a rally in Butler, Penn., on Saturday in an attempt to assassinate the former President. A bullet grazed Trump's ear, but the Secret Service was able to take out the shooter and rush the GOP nominee to safety. The shooting left one spectator dead and others critically wounded.

According to the GoFundMe page, Trump authorized the fundraiser as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in the assassination attempt. As of Sunday morning, they had already surpassed the $1-million goal — with Kid Rock contributing $50K.

Kid Rock has been a major supporter of Trump over the years. The southern-rocker visited the former President at the White House in 2017, and he has golfed with Trump on numerous occasions. He even called Trump "one of my besties" in a 2024 profile in Rolling Stone.

Immediately following the shooting, the GRAMMY-nominated artist posted an angry video to social media declaring, "You f*ck with Trump, you f*ck with me."

The victim killed at the Trump rally has been identified as Corey Comperatore, the former fire chief for Buffalo Township. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro in a press conference on Sunday afternoon said he has spoken with Comperatore’s wife, who wanted the public to know that he "died a hero." She said Comperatore dove on top of his family to protect them when the shots were fired.

"He loved his family. He truly loved us enough to take a real bullet for us," the victim's daughter Allyson posted on Facebook.

Two other people in the crowd were critically wounded during the shooting Saturday and are currently being treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
