Kevin Costner Fights Back Tears During Ovation For New Western Movie

Kevin Costner was up in his feelings over the weekend at Cannes.

The Cannes Film Festival is the most famous festival in the film industry. The most famous people in Hollywood flock to France to premiere their latest projects, and a great showing can generate some major buzz.

Well, it seems like Costner might have hit a home run with "Horizon: An American Saga," judging by how people in attendance reacted.

Kevin Costner received a huge ovation for "Horizon: An American Saga."

The "Yellowstone" star's new project is split into two movies that come out this summer, and all signs indicate "Horizon: An American Saga" will be a huge hit.

At the very least, people in Cannes liked it. Variety tweeted a video Sunday of Costner fighting back tears as people gave the film a massive standing ovation.

Hype for this movie is growing ahead of Chapter 1 arriving June 28th and Chapter 2 premiering August 16th. The plot is described as follows:

That should be more than enough to get your heart racing a little bit. It sounds like it's going to be an epic movie, and the early previews have been absolute fire.
