Kate Upton Is One Of The 'Bombshells In The Wild' On The Cover Of V Magazine
Kate Upton has added another cover to her historical run. The year is 2024. She's now a 32-year-old married mother, and she's back on the cover of V Magazine.
Anyone who thought that marrying Justin Verlander then starting a family meant that she was headed for a life of yoga classes and cocktail parties couldn't have been more wrong.
Earlier this year, the generational talent was on one of the 60th anniversary covers of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. It was her fourth time appearing on the magazine's cover.
Now Kate's making a return visit to the cover of V Magazine for their "Fall Preview 2024" issue that mentions "Bombshells In The Wild." As the magazine points out, the return comes 10 years after her last cover with them.
The content game has changed a lot over the years, and she's been around for some historic moments along the way. Who could forget her Dougie dance at a Clippers game back in 2011?
What an incredible moment in the history of the internet.
Little did we know that her first appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit as a teenager back in 2012 would send shock waves through swimsuit magazine that they haven't yet fully recovered from? It did and it never should have happened.
Kate Upton Is A Legend Of The Game And She Still Has Her Fastball
Kate is making her return to the cover after 10 years alongside first timer Dianae Sodre and fellow legend of the modeling game Candice Swanepoel, who is returning after a 13-year absence.
"For those of us who didn’t grow up knowing how to navigate these new apps, it can be really difficult. The content now is very much in real-time, and is very raw, which I like as well, but personally, I prefer the glamor of the old-school way of making content," Kate told V Magazine.
"Honestly, social media has changed every industry. Now you’re coming from a place of analytics. I see it in my husband’s [Justin Verlander] job playing baseball, too. Like, ‘Oh, how many new followers did you get? How many views?’
She continued, "It’s so funny because fashion never felt honest to people, but it actually was honest. And now it can be very calculated."
There you have it, Kate Upton is landing covers left and right. She prefers the modeling industry when she first got into it and, after all these years, she still has plenty on her fastball.
That's a good thing too.
Kate has magazines to push, products to sell, a show to promote, and if we're lucky, some more covers to land. We're never going to have the internet we had back when she first broke through.
I understand that.
It's always moving forward and there's always something "new and improved." All I want to do is take the stuff with us that worked. There's no reason we can't do that.
