Jennifer Lopez Summer Tour Canceled After Poor Ticket Sales

Sorry, everyone. There will be no Jennifer Lopez concert for you this summer.

Live Nation announced Friday that the singer's "This Is Me... Live" Tour is canceled because she is "taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends."

J-Lo released a statement to her fans on her official website, saying it was a difficult decision to make.

"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary," Lopez wrote. "I promise I will make it up to you, and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time…"

The tour was originally set to run from June to August, in support of her latest studio album This Is Me...Now, which dropped in February.

But the news doesn't come as a total surprise, as the tour was struggling to sell tickets. In March, J-Lo canceled seven dates on the summer tour (in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston) due to low ticket sales.

The album, tour and two Netflix films are part of a self-financed $20 million three-part multimedia project examining "Lopez’s life as a serial romantic" and her reunion with actor Ben Affleck. J-Lo and Affleck re-married in 2022 — nearly two decades after the couple originally split.

But that's not going so well, either. According to multiple tabloids, Bennifer could be headed for Splittsville again. The two superstars have reportedly been living separately in Los Angeles while dealing with a strain in their marriage.

There is some good news for J-Lo, though. Her new Netflix film Atlas, which was released May 24, and has already reached No. 1 in 55 countries.

If you are one of the few who purchased tickets to the Jennifer Lopez summer tour, Ticketmaster will issue automatic refunds.
