Jenna Berman Is Ready To Take A Trip, Brande Roderick Takes Over Bora Bora & Hawk Tuah Has Made Its Way To WWE

My vacation is over, and I'm back in my home office

As all vacations do, my week off flew by.  That said, it was a much-needed break and my battery is fully charged.  We visited some of my wife's family across a couple of states and, most importantly, relaxed.

Well, second on the list of importance anyway was the relaxation.  The most important thing we did was hit up a Bigfoot museum and that all came together by chance.

We just so happened to be nearby and someone mentioned it, so of course we went.  It was everything and more that you would hope for from a Bigfoot museum.

There were casts of giant feet found in the wilderness, stories of encounters, and some hair that can't be ruled out as evidence.  What more could you ask for?  Merchandise?  Oh, there was plenty of that too.

The visit to the museum has me sold on making my way to a Bigfoot convention at some point.  It has to happen.

Pot Dogs have arrived

While I was away, the Boston Celtics added to their trophy case, putting the NBA season to bed and the Edmonton Oilers did the impossible.  They forced a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final after going down 3-0.

Their good luck charm was in the building for Game 6 and decided to cash in on her viral fame by taking her talents to Playboy.  The Panthers have their hands full as the series returns to Florida tomorrow night.

I can't wait, but I'm not here to break down the Stanley Cup Final or talk about the Celtics adding to their trophy case.  I'm here to talk about something that's perfect for grilling season; pot dogs.

It's exactly what it sounds like.  It's pot and a hot dog.  I would never suggest that anyone try this at home, but it does give off summertime vibes.

Porch Pirates fight each other seconds after a package is delivered

We've reached a new stage in porch piracy.  Arriving well after a package has been left on someone's porch and attempting to steal it is a thing of the past.

There have been too many exploding packages or boxes filled with poop to risk that.  The latest trend is to follow a delivery truck and steal the package as soon as it's delivered.

These "fresh thefts" avoid the embarrassment of having to go home and tell your wife and kids that you were tricked by another staged box of dog crap.

This has naturally led to dueling porch pirates battling it out over the same package.  That makes for a much different embarrassing story for the wife and kids.

You don’t want to go home empty-handed too many times with nothing to show for your day at the office except for "another pirate made off with my booty" stories.

That's not going to cut it or put food on the table.  Your day roaming the streets looking for an opportunity to pillage and plunder has to be a fruitful one.

Let's take a moment to relay some positive thoughts for the family of the pirate on the losing end of this battle, they're the real victims here.

Smoked pork butt

- Todd Z writes:

My own rub concoction and smoked for many hours on a Recteq.

SeanJo:

Todd, I love the sound of your own rub concoction.  I don't know what it tastes like, but if you're coming up with your own, then you probably know your way around some pork butt and it's probably delicious.

In Response to PB&J Ribs

- Colin O Warrenville, IL writes:

Sean,

Down in Columbus Georgia, a restaurant called City Grille has a best-selling sandwich called "Pork PB&J". It Is a pork chop dressed in a Thai peanut oil served with a hot pepper jam. It is incredible, and I would 100% recommend it as well as attempting to dress ribs in a similar fashion.

SeanJo:

Hey Colin, thanks for adding another one into the pro PB&J Ribs column.  I'm going to have to try it.

I like pork a lot, and I'm a big fan of a good PB&J, so it makes sense that putting them together would be awesome.

Happy Father's Day and from the Grill

- Tony from Stafford, VA writes:

Hey Sean

Tony from Stafford, VA here.  I basically grill all year round and in most any weather.  I've had the grill fired up a few times this year already but have been gearing up for Father's Day for a couple of weeks now.  Our youngest (22 and just graduated from VA Tech) just happened to bring home her first boyfriend, so I had to set the food bar at the appropriate level.

I did 4 racks of ribs – dry rub and started in the over for 4.5 hours a5 225 – then finish off with a light BBQ sauce glaze on the grill.  Also did some mesquite-lime chicken breasts to round things out.

SeanJo:

Nicely done Tony.  It's important to let the boyfriend know where the bar is.  He has to know that dad isn't messing around on the grill, and that he has to step his own grill game up.

I mean you go all year round in any weather, that's a level of dedication to grilling that not many can pull off.  Keep sending whatever you're grilling up.  I'd love to see it.

Grilled Chicken Breast with Homemade Mango Salsa

- Gen X Warren M writes:

Hey SeanJo,

Another excellent Sunday Screencaps yesterday! It’s mango season here in South Florida, and my wife’s coworker gave her a few. I had found a homemade mango salsa recipe a few years ago, and I try to make this every summer. Comes out really good.

We used one mango, half a red pepper, half a jalapeño, quarter red onion, lime juice, and some salt. You could double or even triple the recipe.

Grilled up the chicken breast with some spice and served with the mango salsa on top and some coconut rice on the side (jasmine rice, unsweetened coconut milk, water, and salt. You can find a recipe online).

SeanJo:

I appreciate the continued support Warren.  You gotta love a go-to recipe during grilling season.

The mango salsa on top of some grilled chicken is a nice touch.  Some coconut rice on the side and you have yourself a solid summer offering.

It looks like everything came together perfectly.

Happy Father’s Day

- Charles Kikumoto writes:

Hope everyone had a great one today.   Golf and grilling?   Or both?

Keep up the great work!    Enjoy your time off- Sean Jo!

From the grill I’ll have a Bloody Mary, a steak sandwich and a steak sandwich.

Joe - thanks for the golf recap.   I was hoping Arcadia bluffs was on your list but perhaps y’all have already done that one before?  About the only course I know in Michigan.

Happy Father’s Day!!

Arcadia Bluffs

SeanJo:

Hey Charles.  Thanks for reaching out.  I hope you had a great Father's Day.  I was with my in-laws for the weekend and, while there was no golfing, my father-in-law did fire up the grill.

The time off was great.  I'm recharged and ready to roll.

Father's Day Meat

As predicted in the Father's Day Grilling Guide, my father-in-law did fire up his grill during Father's Day weekend.  He wrapped up some deer meat in bacon and tossed them on his grill.

We had some hot dogs off the grill as well and ate my body weight in those little bacon wrapped bad boys.

That's all I've got for this Sunday's edition.  It's good to be back.  Keep sending your meat my way, and we'll do this all again next weekend.

Send me that grilling season content and whatever else you want to sean.joseph@outkick.com.
