Jena Sims Welcomes Brittany Mahomes To Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie Class
Love it or hate it, Brittany Mahomes is a 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie. She'll appear in the 60th anniversary issue of the magazine, due out in a few months, alongside the others in the rookie class.
You can count fellow rookie and WAG Jena Sims among the supporters of the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes making an appearance in the swimsuit edition. Mrs. Brooks Koepka took to SI Swimsuit's Instagram Story to make her welcome to the club official.
"I could not be more excited for her," Jena said in a video about Brittany. "I actually relate to her on a much smaller level. We’re both married to an athlete, and she gets a lot of crap. She gets a lot of hate - unwarranted hate."
Jena continued, "She’s a very polarizing person, which that’s the type of model that SI Swimsuit hires to be a rookie. That’s the point. She’s a needle-mover. She’s a mover and a shaker, she’s a disrupter and I respect it."
That's not all that Jena had to say about the Super Bowl week addition to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie class. She relates to Brittany as someone who is also married to a professional athlete and is a fan of her work as it relates to that.

"Something that I personally run into, people, the haters I guess, get very uncomfortable when a woman is married to someone else who is successful, has her own thing going," Jena added.
"Brittany owns a freaking soccer team, she’s a fitness influencer before that and probably so many more things that I don’t know about. But she’s her own person and I really respect that SI when y’all dropped the news, the headline wasn’t ‘Patrick Mahomes’ named rookie, it was freakin’ Brittany Mahomes."

"She deserves that on her own right, and it has nothing to do with her husband… sometimes when I accomplish something people will say it’s because of Brooks. I had a life before him and accomplishments before him."
WAGs supporting other WAGs. What a beautiful moment. Look, I'm no fan of Brittany Mahomes'. I think she's earned a lot of her haters, especially if you're a fan of a team that has lost an important game to the Chiefs during their incredible run.
That said, I'm able to recognize that she looks good in a bikini. It's important not to let your hate throw bizarre blinders on in a moment like this. Is she annoying? Yes. Does she look good in a bikini? Also, yes.
Not to mention the fact that, a few years ago, this might have been an entirely different story. There's a good chance Sports Illustrated Swimsuit would have added Jackson Mahomes to the rookie class.
