Jen Psaki Doesn't Like People Comparing Her To Ronna McDaniel Because McDaniel 'Lies'
Jen Psaki does not appreciate critics comparing her to former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
Monday evening, Psaki referenced voices in the "right-wing ecosystem" comparing NBC hiring her to hiring McDaniel — whose signing last week prompted NBC hosts Rachel Madow, Chuck Todd, and Joe Scarborough to criticize the hiring on the network's airwaves.
"You may have seen some use over the last few days about the hiring of former RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel as an NBC News contributor, and some, mainly in the right-wing ecosystem, have made the comparison to others who have come from government or politics into the media, including me, and that is a comparison I felt like I had to address," said Psaki.
"This isn’t about red versus blue. This is about truth versus lies," she concluded.
But, see, that is just not true.
The disparate outrage from NBC hosts over the hiring of McDaniel compared to Psaki is, in fact, red versus blue.
"Truth versus lies," she claims. Hmm. Shall we cite the lengthy, still-growing list of lies perpetuated by Little Red Lying Hood herself?
Like the falsehoods she spread about Afghanistan, immigration, vaccines, Omicron travel restrictions, and even Joe Biden's dog biting a staffer.
On we could go.
Jen Psaki is not an honest broker. She's compromised politically. Most pundits from Washington are – including Ronna McDaniel. The difference is that Psaki lies on behalf of the right team, particularly in the minds of employees at NBC.
See, NBC hosts view one side of the spectrum as merely political and the other as morally bankrupt. NBC and MSNBC personalities believe they do the nation a service by policing Republican talking points on cue.
Lead NBC anchor Lester Holt admitted so in 2021:
"I think it’s become clear that fairness is overrated ... the idea that we should always give two sides equal weight and merit does not reflect the world we find ourselves in."
And views like Holt's are what has NBC already considering terminating McDaniel's contract, according to a Fox News Digital report on Monday.
Per the report, the internal pushback against McDaniel's hiring was "worse than leadership anticipated."
Of course, the executive wing of NBC could simply ignore the public outcry from its hosts and tell them to do their jobs. Yet that would take a backbone management rarely shows.
So, do not be surprised if NBC gives in to the likes of Maddow and Todd, thus letting the inmates, to use a cliché, run the asylum.
All the while, the network continues to prop up Biden's former red-headed Pinocchio.
