Jemele Hill Accuses The Rock Of ‘Political Cowardice’ For Walking Back Endorsement Of Joe Biden
Last week, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said he wouldn't make the mistake of endorsing Joe Biden for President again. And, not surprisingly, Jemele Hill is up in arms about it.
In an exclusive interview with Fox News' Will Cain, The Rock said he's not "happy with the state of America right now." And so he won't be endorsing Biden like he did ahead of the 2020 election.
"The endorsement that I made years ago of Biden was one that I thought was the best decision for me at the time," the WWE Hall of Famer said. "And I thought back then when we talked about it — 'Hey, I'm in this position where I have some influence…' And I felt like back then that it was my job to exercise my influence and share and say, ‘This is who I am going to endorse.’
"Am I going to do that again this year? That answer's no."
In fairness, Johnson didn't say he was voting for Donald Trump, either. He simply explained that he felt his previous endorsement caused "division" and that, instead, "my goal is to bring our country together."
So, naturally, the usual suspects got their feelings hurt.
Jemele Hill Doesn't Want To Hear The Rock's Political Opinion
During an appearance on Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz on Monday, Hill chastised The Rock for his "statement, non-statement."
"That's the kind of, frankly, political cowardice that's hard to respect," she said. "I don't understand how Joe Biden is the divisive one. What he's running against is pushing bigotry, xenophobia, every other phobia and -ism you could possibly name. That is what they're literally campaigning on. Joe Biden is not campaigning on those same things. And so I don't even understand how Joe Biden got a tag for being the one who's dividing people."
I don't know, Jemele, but it probably has something to do with Joe's angry speeches that frame half the country as ultra-mega-MAGA-extremists and the fact that his supporters throw around accusations of "racism" and "bigotry" like confetti anytime someone disagrees with them.
But do go on.
"If he wants to stop the division, then he shouldn't at all make it seem like he is aligned with the side that is pushing only division. That's their entire agenda. They have no policy," she said, referring to the Trump campaign. "The entire thing that they have is to get you to hate somebody else that you perceive is lower on the totem pole than you.
"So unless you plan to write in yourself, you plan to vote for Donald Trump. You've made your decision that you are voting for xenophobia and bigotry and all these other things that you claim to stand against."

At no point did it occur to Jemele that The Rock and millions of other Americans might have realized they are worse off now than they were 4 years ago. Never mind inflation, war raging overseas, the border crisis, surging crime — forget all of those issues that actually affect regular, everyday Americans. Just vote against the Orange Man because Jemele Hill will call you a bigot if you don't.
"I just thought that wasn't his best moment," Hill concluded. "And it was so unnecessary, too. Because — I don't know — I wasn't going around wondering who The Rock was voting for. So I don't know why he just decided he needed to share that."
Rich statement coming from a woman who loudly offers her unsolicited opinion about literally everything.
