Musician Jokes About Wishing Trump Had Been Assassinated: VIDEO

Jack Black's bandmate Kyle Gass seems to think Donald Trump being shot is a laughing matter.

Trump narrowly left with his life after being shot in the ear Saturday during a rally in Pennsylvania. The shooter, Matthew Thomas Crooks, was able to get off a volley of shots at Trump before counter snipers ended the assassination attempt.

Most Americans were horrified by what they saw as a defiant Trump was led away with blood streaming down his face.

However, some people think it's funny, and that includes Gass.

Kyle Gass jokes about wanting Donald Trump dead after failed assassination attempt.

Black and Gass were performing Sunday in Australia with their band Tenacious D when the latter thought it was a smart idea to joke about Trump getting shot.

The famous comedian offered Gass a birthday cake and asked him to make a wish. That's when Gass responded with, "Don’t miss Trump next time."

Generally speaking, I'm against being critical of jokes. I think comedy should push the limits and be edgy. That's the entire point. However, are we sure Gass was joking?

Some people hate Trump so much that they probably think there's nothing wrong with wanting him dead. It might be hard to hear, but it's true.

Add in the fact that Gass made the comment in a foreign country, and it makes it much worse. America was in a very dark and painful place over the weekend. This country was very literally a quarter of an inch away from fundamentally changing. Trump is incredibly lucky the bullet hit his ear and not his skull, and a slight head motion probably saved his life.

Being funny is one thing. Making a joke is one thing. Claiming you want a political leader dead *RIGHT AFTER HE SURVIVED AN ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT* is unhinged behavior. I'm not a fan of Joe Biden, but I would be beyond livid if someone harmed him. I hope many people reading this feel the same way. I guess Gass just wishes the shooter was more accurate. I wish I could say the comment surprises me, but after the reactions I witnessed myself, it's not surprising at all. It's just sad and pathetic.
