Italian Soccer Reporter Diletta Leotta Welcomes Bikini Season

With the denial of entry into an infamous Berlin sex nightclub in her rearview mirror, Diletta Leotta is preparing to put something else in that same mirror; life as an unmarried woman.

She's going to be a married woman soon.  A bachelorette weekend in Ibiza last weekend indicates that the day she walks down the aisle to exchange vows with German goalkeeper Loris Karius, is not too far off.

Before that day takes place, however, the Italian soccer reporter has more pressing matters on her radar to attend to.  Like the arrival of June and bikini season.

It's the time of year when Instagram stars do some of their best work.  With 9.1 million Instagram followers, Diletta is a certified Instagram star in every sense of the word.

There's no chance of adding to the follower count and reaching a milestone of 10 million by sitting around and simply hoping that it happens.  You've got to get out and put in the work.

Diletta Leotta Is Preparing For A Big Summer

That algorithm, as sick as it is, has to be fed.  Tossing up bikini content on your page at the beginning of the summer is a good way to feed it.

There are just two more games left on the Newcastle United schedule before what I assume is a summer break for Karius and company.

That works out nicely with the arrival of the bikini season and an upcoming wedding on the way.  These two are going to have themselves a summer.

Many people say backup quarterback is one of the best jobs in sports, but backup goalkeeper has to be near the top of the list.  Karius has played in just one game this season for a total of 90 minutes.

He did give up four goals in a loss, but unlike a backup quarterback forced into action, a backup goalie doesn't touch the ball on every play.  Four goals sounds like a lot, but he had four saves.

So 90 minutes and eight shots to stop for an entire season isn't a bad gig.  Not to mention, he's doing alright for himself when he's not sitting around watching soccer from field level.
