Instagram Star Kayla Simmons Didn't Let A Torn ACL Keep Her From Showing Off Her Football Skills At The Beach
Kayla Simmons has once again unleashed her D1 athletic ability on social media. The former volleyball player battled through an injury in the name of content as she hit the beach with a football in hand.
After kicking off Memorial Day weekend showing off her baking skills, she decided to head out to the beach to close out the weekend by showing off her laser rocket arm and her ability to haul in one-handed catches.
What a way to welcome the summer. The most impressive part of Kayla's football clinic in the sand is probably the fact that she did it all virtually on one leg.
Back in March, she suffered a knee injury while attempting to relive her glory days at Marshall. She hit the court in France with a group of volleyball players, landed awkwardly, and went down in pain.
Kayla knew she had hurt herself badly and shared a video at the time captioned, "Well there goes my knee."
Fast-forward to Tuesday and there was no way she was going to let the bum knee keep her from putting her football skills on display again. She announced, "a torn ACL won’t stop me."
She then proceeded to air it out and snag absolutely everything thrown her way.
Kayla Simmons Has To Be Considered For The Best Instagram Model Athlete Crown
Sure, Kayla's mobility was limited. But that doesn't take away from her overall performance.
Let her rehab the knee and fully recover, and we're looking at someone who can do some damage on the flag football field or on the beach football circuit.
I don't know that she's the best Instagram model athlete out there. But given her volleyball skills, her lethal poolside shooting, and these beach football skills, she has to be in consideration.
There aren't many with an overall game at the level of Kayla Simmons.
She has a million Instagram followers, more than 846k over on TikTok, she played Division 1 volleyball in college, and is a sharpshooter who can throw the deep ball and make one-handed catches at will.
Good luck putting together a more impressive resume than that one.
