Instagram Model's Brazilian Butt Lift Nearly Cost Her One Of Her Cheeks

The influencer game is a serious business and if you want to compete, you have to approach it that way.  You can no longer stick to one platform and hope for the best.

You have to be firing off content on multiple platforms to keep up with the fierce competition. That includes, if you're serious about it, throwing some up behind a paywall.

Just like with any other form of competition, everyone is looking for something to give them an advantage over everyone else.  For some, that means going under the knife.

Instagram model Angela Babicz is one such influencer. She's got the multiple platforms and a brand ambassador deal going for her. She made the decision, in an attempt to gain an advantage, to get a Brazilian Butt Lift.

Unfortunately for the self-described "plastic surgeon's wet dream," the recovery from the procedure didn't go as planned. It nearly cost her one of her cheeks.

While Angela was left with a permanent scar, she turned the situation into a positive.  She made it a learning experience so that others could "learn from her mistakes."  Two years after the incident she released a video discussing it.

"I did everything that needed to be done.  I am literally a plastic surgeon's wet dream, because I essentially become their poster child after every procedure," she explained.

"The surgery was difficult, recovery was even more difficult, but I pushed through, and I was absolutely obsessed with my body.  I loved my new shape and I had no issues at first."

That changed a few months after the procedure, when Angela started experiencing pain and bruising on one of her butt cheeks. She had been traveling and when she got home she decided to have a look at it.

"I stripped down and looked in the mirror and I had a big red spot in the middle of my left butt cheek," she revealed. "It looked like I had been punched."

This eventually led to a trip to the emergency room to have her infected cheek drained. Doctors had to implant a loop of sterile material to help accomplish that.

"I needed to get it drained ASAP and, unfortunately, because the plastic surgeon's office was closed for the holiday, I would have to go to the ER," Angela said.

"The smell that was coming from the area was absolutely disgusting. It was so incredibly painful, it burned in the shower."

Her body ended up rejecting the loop, and she had to have another procedure to clean out all the infection by the surgeon who performed the BBL in the first place.

The procedure worked, and Angela's butt cheek was thankfully saved. Although she wasn't left without a noticeable scar. She said, "It literally looks like a dog bite.  Sometimes I lie and tell people that I got shot just to look cool."

Be careful out there before you get those BBLs.  An infection might just cost a cheek and, if you're like Angela Babicz, you could have a lot riding on your cheeks.
