Instagram Model Claims PayPal Took The $90k She Made Selling Her 'Gamer Girl Bathwater'

These days, Belle Delphine is making millions of dollars off of the content she posts on OnlyFans.  Back in 2019, a much simpler time, she was a popular cosplay Instagram model.

She used that popularity to sell her bathwater to thirsty gamers for $30 a jar.  The bathwater sold out in just two days, but when she went to withdraw the $90,000 she wasn't able to do so.

Belle claims that when she went to cash out on her successful money-making venture, PayPal wouldn't let her.  In a couple of posts on X she claimed that they closed her account and took her gamer girl bathwater without warning.

"Since it’s been a couple years now I can finally share the biggest L I’ve ever taken. Not only did I not earn any money selling my bathwater, I in fact LOST money doing it," she posted on X.  "@PayPal without any warning closed my PayPal account and took the $90,000 that I earned from selling my bathwater."

Belle couldn't get the money no matter what.  She tried everything, including calling PayPal.  There was nothing that could be done.  They took the money and weren't giving it back.

"There was nothing I could do, I tried phoning them up and they just said ‘sorry, nothing we can do!’  I knew it would be a better news story to say that I made ‘sOoOo much money’ from selling my bathwater so I just kept this secret…," she continued.

"Ultimately I’m still glad I did it since it was a really funny time on the internet when it happened, and I still did mail out all the bathwater people bought from me (which I did all by myself).  Sooo... f*ck PayPal I guess?"

Belle Delphine Didn't Make Any Money Off Her Gamer Girl Bathwater, But She Did Get Some Free Publicity

In a followup post, Belle revealed that she had somehow violated the payment system's terms of service, although she's not sure which one because they wouldn't give her a straight answer.

"I apparently broke one of their ToS, and each time you break a ToS you receive a -$2,500 penalty.  So each payment of bathwater that went through was a break of ToS which resulted in -$2,500 every time without me realizing," Belle said.

"They wouldn’t tell me which PayPal rule I broke and they wouldn’t give me anymore information because of ‘security risk’.  So I don’t know if it’s because they don’t allow sexworkers to use their platform or if they had a specific issue with me selling bathwater… regardless not even knowing felt shit."

So she missed out on $90,000 and didn't make a penny from her bathwater.  It all worked out for her in the end.  PayPal couldn't keep her from cashing in on the free publicity.  That's the kind of perseverance it takes to become a successful content creator.
