Pathetic Politicians And Pandering Prosecutors Allowed Georgia Student Laken Riley To Be Murdered

The family of Laken Hope Riley will soon be burying its precious daughter because we have political leaders who refuse to enforce America's immigration laws.

If any of you reading this are a parent, you know that the greatest fear you've had is the thought of losing one of your children. The story of life is supposed to continue with your children carrying on the family legacy and name once you pass. Imagine one of your children getting killed when it literally AND legally never should have happened in the first place?

Unbelievable. 

But the difficult realization is that it IS believable - and as I'll explain below, it's coming to a city near you.

SUSPECT CROSSED TEXAS BORDER ILLEGALLY IN 2022

Venezuelan national and non-U.S. citizen Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, was taken into custody yesterday and charged with multiple counts including felony murder, after the body of 22-year-old Laken was found near the University of Georgia campus in Athens. He had previously been detained when he illegally crossed the El Paso, Texas - Mexico border in 2022 but was released on parole due to the facilities being overcrowded. 

Yes, that's right. We had this (alleged) murdering dirtbag in custody and gave him a free pass into the country to do as he pleased. 

After not returning from a jog this past Thursday, one of Riley's friends alerted authorities saying they were concerned. Police eventually found Riley's body later that day. During a press conference, authorities said that Ibarra didn't personally know Riley whatsoever, and that he killed her as "a crime of opportunity."

The sad and horrific realization is that it was our pitiful, pandering elected leaders who gave Ibarra the OPPORTUNITY in the first place to allow him to commit his "crime of OPPORTUNITY." Now, a 22-year-old who had her whole entire bright future in front of her is gone.

IT SHOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED

What's so frustrating about Riley's death, beyond the tragic aspect of it, is that it didn't need to happen.

Obviously, all immigrants are not bad people whatsoever. To even insinuate that is idiotic. America was built on and thrives because of our different cultures and beliefs. We are a charitable nation that allows people to escape poverty, oppression and discrimination for a better life. But on the flip side, to assume that every single person crossing the border without any previous knowledge about them has the best intentions - isn't right as well. That is why there's a system and laws in place, despite those who choose not to enforce them.

Case in point: Instead of doing what our grandparents and great-grandparents did by pursuing the "American Dream," Ibarra chose the opposite. After being released from the Texas Border Patrol in 2022, he purposely traveled to New York because of its lenient asylum and "sanctuary city" laws. 

In recent weeks, both the Biden Administration and New York, which had previously boasted about its Sanctuary City status and welcomed everyone, are now trying to reverse those very same policies as both Democrats and Republicans are concerned and fed up with what's happening. 

I'm pretty sure the writers of Field of Dreams didn't intend "If you build it, they will come" to mean allowing anyone and everyone to come in without having any sort of background knowledge of what their intentions are, but hey - what do I know?

CRIMINALS HAVE NO FEAR OF PUNISHMENT

If you and I can understand what's going on, why can't our politicians, prosecutors and judges?

It's because some of them deliberately choose not to. 

As I've written about extensively in my OutKick Crime Files, our legal system is in peril.

Whether it's multiple migrants jumping and attacking NYPD officers only to then be let go hours later without having to pay bail, to someone who was arrested and released SEVENTY times for God knows why, or this criminal that had SEVENTEEN prior arrests before stabbing two random kids on Christmas, or how about a baseball player wannabe who took a baseball bat and cracked a random person's head with it, only to be released the next day - something seems a bit off, no?

DEMS WHO SUPPORTED SANCTUARY CITIES ARE NOW BACKING OUT

One would think that these absurd and asinine court rulings would be a wake-up call to judges and prosecutors to actually do something. 

Think again. 

Sure, San Francisco is now reversing course and suddenly realizes is DOES need a police force after years of defending and trashing it. Expectations are to have a fully-staffed police entity within FIVE YEARS. Good luck to y'all out there!

Philly is closing more Wawa stores. New York City bipartisan parents are furious that their city has allowed migrants to take over their children's soccer and football fields. God help whatever Seattle and Portland are these days, and one of my favorites is Chicago Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson literally asking gangs to not shoot each other between the hours of 9am-9pm (Yes, he really said that). 

Laken Riley's parents didn't expect to receive that phone call on a Thursday in February. 

Neither should you. It's time for politicians to do what they were voted in to do.
