Houston Woman Goes Missing, Gets Eaten By Alligator, But Did The Gator Kill Her?

Typically, this is where I would start bashing a white hair Boomer for being eaten by an alligator, but this time is different.

According to Houston media reports, police are investigating how a woman went missing after going for a walk at 7:30 Monday night only to be found half-eaten and in the jaws of an alligator at 8:40 a.m. the next morning.

Houston Police Department "officers located the remains of a woman in the jaws of an alligator in the Horsepen Bayou, just west of El Dorado Boulevard, while searching the area for a woman reported missing. An HPD sergeant fatally shot the alligator to prevent it from doing more damage to the remains," the department reported.

Here's where things get interesting: the woman's husband reported her missing Tuesday morning.

Let's stop right there.

The woman goes for a walk at 7:30 on Monday night and doesn't come home after dark. She's reported missing the next morning.

Did the alligator kill the woman?

Let's pump the brakes here because this case could be quite nefarious.

In a neighborhood filled with homes ranging from $800k-$1.4 million, a woman goes for a night walk, doesn't come home and is eaten by an alligator is going to raise red flags with the Houston Police Department and should have the Houston media on high-alert.

We're talking about houses with outdoor cameras everywhere. We should know the path this woman took. Was she abducted? Was a gator hiding in the bushes at dusk? Did it attack the lady and drag her into the bayou?

According to a Wikipedia database of fatal alligator attacks, there's typically a dog involved or the victim was near a body of water. Based on the address police provided on where they found the Houston woman, it doesn't appear there's a walking trail between the million-dollar houses and Horsepen Bayou.

In other words, the local TV stations have some investigating to do here. ABC-13 reports 2015 was the last time Texas experienced a fatal alligator attack and that was when a guy was killed while swimming in a bayou. Before that, there hadn't been a reported fatal gator attack in 90 years.
