Holly Sonders: My Face Is Finally Implant & Filler Free - 'I'm Fortunate'!
For former Golf Channel darling turned social media icon Holly Sonders, it's been a long road to rid her face of fillers and implants, but she's finally crossed the finish line.
In a dramatic Instagram Story post on Monday night, Sonders, 37, explained how her doctor "fixed my extremely difficult case" which meant removing fillers and implants the former golf reporter had acquired over the years.
"I am finally filler and implant free in my face!" Sonders told her fans. "I've been very honest about the complications that can arise with permanent filler and anything you choose to put into your body…it happened to me two years ago after I had COVID. Please be careful with anything you put into your body."
The former "Morning Drive" host on Golf Channel, who has been very open about how she feels about people who wanted her to be the Golf Channel Holly forever, says she's eight weeks out since her last operation.
"Removed my cheek implants, another other filler and re-sculpted with fat transfer and endoscopic mid facelift. I'm still very swollen but I'm so so so happy with the results so far that only the best surgeon in the world [plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth] could deliver," the former Michigan State golfer continued.
"In my case, all is well that ends well. I came out of this looking very good. I'm very fortunate. But for a lot of ppl it doesn't end well when PMMA filler is injected and other substances. Our bodies react to these things differently. Please be careful ladies and gentlemen. These substances are not meant to be in our bodies. Even regular hyaluronic fillers must be used sparingly and injected by the best. Years and years of these fillers don't look good or feel good."
And with that, it's the end of an era for Holly who has pivoted from her social media influencing into a boxing promoter along with her boyfriend Oscar De La Hoya.
As for the Golf Channel Holly fans who just want her to get back to golf influencing, your wishes might come true. Back in April, Holly, who rarely dabbles in golf content, hit the links and posted an Instagram video of her crushing a fairway wood.
The old Holly just might be sorta BACK.
