HBO Is Releasing Oklahoma City Bombing Documentary, And The Preview Will Send A Chill Down Your Spine
HBO's upcoming Oklahoma City bombing documentary looks incredibly dark.
The April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City killed 168 people and remains the deadliest domestic terror attack in American history.
Bombing mastermind Timothy McVeigh was eventually caught, convicted and executed for the heinous and horrific crime.
It's one of the most-studied moments of terrorism and the history is incredibly deep. Now, HBO will attempt to peel back the layers with its new documentary "An American Bombing: The Road to April 19th."
The preview is guaranteed to send a chill down your spine. Give it a watch below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
HBO releasing Oklahoma City bombing documentary.
The documentary drops Tuesday, which means we won't have to wait long at all until we can dive in. As long as the documentary doesn't try to push some woke nonsense about conservatives, then I imagine it will be fascinating for people who love history.
The good news is there's also no need to push unnecessary woke talking points because the actual history of the Oklahoma City bombing is fascinating without anything needing to be added.
McVeigh was pretty clear the bombing was motivated by the Waco siege and Ruby Ridge incident. There's also been some speculation convicted murderer Richard Snell might have known about the bombing beforehand as it happened the same day he was executed. It's unclear whether or not that theory is true.
The only other man ever convicted in connection with the plot was Terry Nichols. There's also long been speculation a third individual might have been involved, but again, it's never been proven and there's no real evidence to support it.
What we do know beyond a shadow of a doubt is Timothy McVeigh murdered 168 people, and was unrepentant to the end. You could make a 20 episode TV series if you wanted to about McVeigh and probably still not have enough time to cover it all. A truly evil man who deserved everything he got.
HBO will soon shine a light on how it all went down, and *HOPEFULLY* doesn't inject any unnecessary nonsense. We'll find out Tuesday. Let me know your thoughts on the preview at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
