Hanna Cavinder Announces, After Taking A Year Off, That She Is Returning To College Basketball
The Cavinder Twins are back to rule NIL after sitting out last season. Back in October, seemingly out of nowhere, Haley announced that she was returning to college basketball.
She promptly entered the transfer portal, after helping the Miami Hurricanes reach the Elite 8 the year prior, and will be playing at TCU next season. She made the announcement complete with a highlight reel and a year 5 hashtag.
It was believed at the time that her sister Hanna had no desire to return to basketball. That ended on Wednesday when she shared a highlight reel announcement of her own.
Unlike her sister, Hanna plans to run it back in Miami with the Hurricanes next season.
"My last season of basketball was one of the most successful and challenging years of my life, but it helped me evolve and grow in ways that are unexplainable," Hanna posted on social media.
"Over these past few months I have been itching to get back to the game that I thought I lost the love and passion for. Nothing quite fills the void that this sport brings me."
She wrapped up her statement by saying, "With that all being said, I have decided to return for one more season. Let’s run it back miami. I had a purpose before everyone had an opinion."
The Cavinder Twins Are Back For Another Run At NIL
The Cavinder Twins have been anything but quiet since they decided to take a year off from basketball. The two content machines spent their time away from the game keeping their social media skills razor sharp.
Any chance to spend some time near a body of water, they've taken it. The twins tossed in appearances at WWE events, which gave way to appearances at NFL games as Haley started dating Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson.
The busy schedule of content creating and landing brand deals apparently wasn't enough to fill the void left when they decided to quit basketball. So now they're both back.
Pour some out for the losers who think the NCAA has a "Hot Girl" problem. They're not going to like seeing them back on the floor and near the top of the name, image, and likeness list.
For everyone else, especially the Hurricanes and Horned Frogs programs and their fans, having the Cavinder Twins back on the floor is a welcome sight.
