Guy Goes Viral After Dining & Dashing On Hinge Date Who Brought A Friend To Help Run Up The Bill

I don't know if this reaches the level of a dating app horror story where the person seeking a legitimate date winds up being tied up and has their organs harvested or anything like that, but it's still not great.

This guy invited a girl on Hinge out for a date and ended up dining and dashing on her after it was clear she was trying to get an insanely expensive free meal from him.  The first hint he received that something wasn’t right was her suggesting they go out for hibachi.

He was thinking of something more casual for their first date, but he had no idea how insane this date was going to get.  After he agrees to meet for some hibachi, he gets there and his date has brought a friend with her.

Was the plus one there for support, to make sure this guy wasn't a crazy psycho?  Was she there to add some excitement to the date after dinner?  Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as if either scenario was the reason his date brought a friend.

After being asked if the friend could stay, the two women start to order a bunch of drinks.  From there, they move on to ordering appetizers before they both add surf and turf to the bill.  The alarm bells are going off now, and he understands exactly what's going on.

Dining And Dashing On This Hinge Date Was The Only Way To Go

They think he's going to pick up the bill for all of their food.  That's not happening on Johnny America's watch.  When his date tells the waiter that the food is all on one bill, he says, "I tell her, ‘Hey, do me a favor, will you just box up my food real quick, and I’m gonna go to the restroom.’  She goes, ‘Yeah, yeah no problem.’"

That's when the hero diner and dasher chose to make his move.  He didn't head to the bathroom, he left the restaurant.  He continued, "Guess where I went?  I didn’t go to the restroom.  I went in my car and I went home.  You think I’m stupid?  I’m not.  You paid my bill.  Thanks."

The video earned more than 2 million views, overwhelming support from the comment section, and a part two by popular demand from the TIkTok community.

Johnny ended up going back to the restaurant the next day to see if the two girls ended up paying the bill and dropped a part two to explain how that played out.

In a twist to the story that only the best scriptwriters in the world could come up with, it turns out that the two girls didn't actually pay the bill.  They didn't dine and dash either.

According to the hibachi cook, another guy came in and paid the bill about thirty minutes after the dine and dasher left them with it.
