Gordon Ramsay Suffered A Vicious Bicycle Accident, Has Bruise To Prove It
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is spending his time in Connecticut these days as he films a new season of "Hell's Kitchen" at the Foxwoods Casino.
Foxwoods recently opened a Hell's Kitchen restaurant inside the casino and Ramsay and crew are using it as their filming location after shooting previous seasons in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Side note: I have been to Hell's Kitchen at Foxwoods, and it's incredible. Ramsay's famous beef wellington and sticky toffee pudding are must-tries for anyone who likes superb food.
But as Ramsay is probably finding out, there's not much to do in southeast Connecticut. There are two massive casinos, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, but they are located in the middle of nowhere.
Ramsay decided to kill some time and get some exercise by hopping on his bicycle and taking a ride. Unfortunately, the chef suffered a brutal wreck.
He posted a video on social media urging people to wear helmets while showing off a massive bruise that covered a large chunk of the left side of his torso.
"You know how much I love cycling, triathlons and Ironmans, etc. This week, unfortunately, I had a really bad accident," Ramsay said. "And it really shook me. Honestly, I'm lucky to be here now."
Then he urged people to wear helmets when they ride their bikes, saying that his helmet saved his life.
"You've got to wear a helmet. I don't care how short the journey is, I don't care," Ramsay encouraged. "It's been a brutal week, and I'm sort of getting through it. But. I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet.
"II want to wish you all a very happy Father's Day. But please, please, please, please wear a helmet. Because if I didn't, honestly, I wouldn't be here now," Ramsay concluded.
Thankfully, Ramsay is still here to make cooking shows because I think I watch every one of them. "Hell's Kitchen" is the OG, but don't sleep on "Next Level Chef."
Fortunately, Ramsay was wearing his helmet, so we can continue to watch him create incredible creations in the kitchen and scream at people who don't.
