German Princess Lands Playboy Cover, Becomes The First Aristocrat To Pose Topless For The Magazine
A German princess found a way to make some history of her own this week. The trailblazer became the first aristocrat to pose topless on the cover of Playboy.
Her name is Xenia Florence Gabriela Sophie Iris, the Princess of Saxony, and she made her appearance on the cover of German Playboy's March 2024 issue.

The cover of the issue isn't the only place the 37-year-old can be found partially dressed. The reality TV star, linked to the 1,000-year-old House of Wettin, is topless elsewhere in the magazine as well.
While Xenia doesn't expect anyone from her noble family to run out and purchase a copy of her historic appearance in Playboy, she is hopeful that "they at least tolerate it."
That said, she is confident that one of her relatives would have approved of the photo shoot if he were still around. Xenia said that her great-great-grandfather, the last King of Saxony Friedrich August III, "would have definitely approved."
She explained that he "was described to me as very humorous and loving."
Playboy Germany said of the princess' cover on Instagram, "Reality TV is her territory: In various formats, Princess Xenia of Saxony provides insights into the everyday life of an aristocrat."
"Like in the new Playboy, you've definitely never seen the great-great-great-granddaughter of the last King of Saxony."
Princess Xenia Just Put Her Name In The History Books
As you might have guessed, Princess Xenia didn't go straight from an upstanding member of German royalty straight to the pages of Playboy. She's been rubbing some in the family the wrong way for years.
All the way back in 2011, the House of Wettin rejected her claim to the title. Her biography, Xenia: The Life of a Princess in the 21st Century prompted the response.
"She is a nothing. She can't have a biography," said the defunct dynasty's head, Maria Emanuel, Margrave of Meissen at the time. She added, "this thing is a dreadful faux pas, a misfortune for the 1,000-year-old House of Wettin."
Despite the rejection, Xenia has been able to use her royal ties to land on several reality TV shows, like Undercover Princesses, B:Real - Echte Promis, echtes Leben and Real Life.
It's been said many times before, but it's absolutely true, you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. Princess Xenia is no stranger to making omelets. Her latest happens to be of the history-making variety.
