German Church Is The Hottest Spot In Heidelberg Thanks To Taylor Swift Services
You may not think that a church that's hundreds of years old could become the hottest hot spot in town, but apparently, you haven't been to Heidelberg Germany for a Taylor Swift church service.
Heiliggeistkirche — or Church of the Holy Spirit — is a 600-year-old Protestant church in Southwest Germany, and I'm guessing they had exhausted all other avenues to infuse some young blood into their congregation.
I just imagine someone throwing up their hands and saying, "That's it, let's just play some Taylor Swift music and see if the youths show up."

According to The Independent, they decided to hold some experimental services — which they called "Anti-Hero – Taylor Swift Church Service."
That couldn't work, could it? You can listen to Taylor Swift at home. There's no need to flock to church and do it some more.
You're underestimating the siren song of Taylor Swift.
The church has 423 seats — which had to be reserved; imagine having to make a church reservation and every single one of them was filled for their Taylor Swift-themed services meant to foster discussions using Swifts lyrics as a jumping-off point, with a few of her songs getting some play too.
I mean, I don't know if I'd be lining up for that and it seems like the way you would start a Taylor Swift-centered cult, but the jokes on me because I bet the offering plate was practically overflowing.
The demand to attend this thing was so high that the church added a second service, and it seems like this was such a massive success that they'd be nuts not to try it again.
"The Church of the Holy Spirit has always been a place of encounter and exchange. That’s why a pop-music religious service fits so perfectly," Pastor Christof Ellsiepen told Germany's Deutsche Welle.
"With it, we are giving space to the questions and issues that occupy the younger generation."
I mean, if that's what gets people in the door… great?
