Jennifer Love Hewitt Celebrates 45th Birthday, MLB Jersey Memes & Mazi Smith Missed A Storage Locker Payment?

Did Screencaps cause the AT&T outage after AT&T Lily made her Screencaps debut on Wednesday?

Some are saying it's more than just a coincidence AT&T Lily shows up and all hell breaks loose.

• Jake in Oregon says:

The power of screencaps, you highlight Lily and break AT&T, must be all the clicks.

P.S.

Breaking out the mower for the first time today.

• Jon in Denver writes:

Saw this story about:

Arja Renell, a Finnish artist and architect trying to get folks to rethink indoor plumbing and move to what the Fins call a "Huussi" the dry toilet — In Finland, dry toilets are particularly prevalent in rural summer cottages.

In the US, we call them outhouses, and after a recent Ice fishing trip in Northern Wisconsin, I can say I'm pro indoor plumbing.  Speaking of poo, have you ever listened to a Jason Williams televised game?  Watching the ending of LSU/Kentucky and he was horrible.  Almost as bad as his take on Iowa's Caitlyn Clark, but not as bad as Sheryl Swoops.  Speaking of Caitlyn, saw a bunch of woke stories of how she isnt the "real" top scorer as Pearl Moore would have scored more points if there was a 3-point line.

Got me thinking how many points Pistol Pete would have scored if he was allowed to play his freshman year and there was a three point line, but he obviously wasnt great because he didnt win a ring...  Maybe ask Google Gemini to show what a top women's basketball scorer looks like... Added a pic of my rescue dog Miles contemplating the complexities of the dog life.

Kinsey:

Now that's an email. Jon goes from talking about how the wokes are now after how we take dumps and pivots right into women's basketball. I didn't have that on my 2024 BINGO card, but I like it.

Looks like I have yet another fight on my hands with these wokes.

I'm supposed to listen to some Finnish artist named Arja about how I need to change my toilets and how they work. Kiss my ass, Arja.

That's quite the first email, bro

• Jason in New York writes:

Bro  Im 49. Never sent an email to a site before. I’ve been reading you for like a year. Love you man. That one dude that didn’t like to see sunsets. I mean really whati did he expect. You would stop because one dude out of thousands said to. Dude I love the pics. I live in Upstate NY. We hate the State. No one wants to live. We go up to Schroon Lake where we Americans live.I retire in 7 years. I would love to hear some to move. Anyways.

Kinsey:

I just posted an Arizona sunrise photo this week. And I had fun with Todd Z.'s complaint for like a month. It sure sounds like Jason thinks I bent a knee to Todd Z., which is a complete lie. I badgered Todd Z. to the point where he sent some sort of photo of his patio where I think he said he just couldn't stand the volume of sunset photos.

Congrats on your upcoming retirement, Jason. Move to Tennessee. Clay said he's ready to welcome all refugees.

TNML sticker request

• Jeff E. in Utah writes:

I would be honored to get a sticker.  How do I pay for it?

Kinsey:

I will send one for free, Jeff, once I get my personalized ‘TNML’ ink stamp.

• Brian B. says:

Read about your wanting a stamp for TNML letters.  Wife and I were gifted a self inking stamp from Shutterfly several years back that is still in use.  Their website is stock stamps, didn't see a custom option so a google search turned up this company that has multiple sized stamps and green is a standard ink selection.  You can upload with text or artwork.

https://www.rubberstampchamp.com/category/shiny-heavy-duty-self-inking-stamps

Kinsey:

$60 for a custom self-inking stamp IS EXPENSIVE, but you can't put a price on the energy running through the bloodstream of TNMLers when they see this piece of mail show up. For many, it's like the SI Swimsuit edition showing up when they were kids.

I'm buying one today.

Golfing after losing ⅓ of your plant foot to amputation

Ron in Lake Oswego, OR is in a tough spot. Thursday, he wrote to Screencaps asking how he's going to golf after losing ⅓ of his plant foot. I put him in touch with my good buddy John ‘One Leg’ Bell, who is one of the best amputee golfers in the United States.

• Today, Scott the Podiatrist weighs in:

I’m writing in response to Ron in Oregon and his soon to be 2/3 plant foot. This first thing he needs to worry about is making sure he completely heals from the surgery. Sometimes patients can try to do too much too soon and create complications that can results in more of the foot or even a below knee amputation. Ron needs to be patient and follow the instructions from his surgeon.

That being said, once he is ready(getting the ok from his surgeon) he can go to rehab, where they will help him with his walking. There will be an adjustment period of learning to walk with his "new" foot. Once he is comfortable with walking, then he can proceed with playing golf. Again, there will be an adjustment period. But, he should be able to golf again. There are fillers he can get for his shoes that can help compensate with the lack of forefoot on his plant foot. He can also talk to the therapist during rehab about how to play golf with his "new" foot and what effects the amputation will have on his swing.

Lastly and most important, these are all questions he should be asking his surgeon as well. His surgeon needs to know what Ron expects to be able to still do once he has healed from his surgery.

He also needs to remember the screencaps motto: Do Hard Things.
Recovery from amputation is not easy and takes a lot of work to continue to be able to do things you did prior to surgery.

I hope that helps Ron.

‘Einhorn got out and was on Jeopardy’

‘I have never seen so much exotic wood’ and this is the power of Screencaps

There's a backstory to this one. In October, Jon H. wrote an email telling me about his retirement job at a sawmill in Laurens, SC called M2 Lumber. Jon H. sang the praises of his 38-year-old boss Matt Morgan, who owns the sawmill.

"He is busting it every day trying to build his business and make a go of it.  He's one of the hardest working people I've ever met," Jon H. said of Morgan.

The email resonated so much with the readership that Morgan was the recipient of business from that email.

• John L., who was one of those customers, writes:

I am in the midst of a 5-week southern swing.  I do not understand why more folks don't visit Charleston and Savannah this time of year.  It's sunny, in the 60's, no crowds, and the beaches are beautiful.  From downtown Charleston, you can be at Sullivan's Island, Folly, or Kiawah in 30 to 45 minutes.

You may remember around 6 months ago a posting about M2 Lumber out of Laurens, SC.  Today I had the pleasure of meeting its owner Matt Morgan in person while picking up the table he made for me.  I have never seen so much exotic wood.  Can you imagine a slab that is turned into a 9-foot-long, 4-foot-wide dinner table weighing hundreds of pounds?  What a great guy, and so skilled.  The attached Instagram link shows my side table being made.

Kinsey:

Before the haters can even ask, #NOTSPONSORED.

I'll say it again: Screencaps wants to hear more stories like what Jon H. wrote in that October email. Sing the praises. Is your plumber incredible? Tell us. Does he refuse to put in some Finnish shit box into your house? Tell us.

I've told you guys all about Jeff the Tile Guy in Toledo who we keep hiring for jobs. The guy is in my drive-way a HALF-HOUR before his start time every single day. Jeff is so early to the job and parks his non-descript van in our driveway like he's robbing the place. He's at our house before the neighborhood kids walk to the bus stop.

Tell me about the people who make this world run. Age doesn't matter. I hope to hear about 18-year-olds roofing houses like maniacs. I want to hear about 15-year-olds digging ponds. I want to hear about the sawmills in Laurens, SC.

So do the readers. Trust me. That's why a few of you went to see Matt Morgan at his sawmill.

A question for Screencaps readers to ponder

• Big P. asks:

I would like to hear the SC communities take on the student loan payback debacle (is it legal, not legal). I am starting to really feel like we are having taxation without representation vibes due to sending money overseas, executive orders, etc.

MEAT!

• Mike T. checks in on the topic of meat:

This is my bro in Mougins, France . He makes the best chicken I’ve ever eaten
Sprinkles Herbs de Provenance in the cavity heavily and salts the bird

Note the potatoes cooking in the chicken drippings below, delicious!

#############

Now THAT'S an edition of Screencaps, especially on a Friday. The energy is high. The sun is out. February is pretty much over. Winter is over. Spring has sprung. The birds are starting to sing. The mowers have been yanked.

I can just feel the positive energy running through the veins of so many. Screencaps Jr. and Screencaps the III are energized this morning. Everybody is ready to do their jobs and keep the hammer down right into the weekend.

And I get to go to the Toledo Golf Show this weekend to hang with my friends.

Let's get after it. Go have a great weekend.
