Fitness Model Issues Warning To Airbnb After Unpleasant Experience With Owners Who 'Check Their Cameras Often'
Fitness model Brianna Garcia rented a townhouse in Houston off of Airbnb recently and her stay did not go as planned. Naturally, she documented the unpleasant experience and shared it on social media.
Everyone knows that if you don't post it, it never happened.
The troubles started before she ever arrived for her stay. The owners of the property had a long list of house rules with a warning that they "check their cameras very often" to make sure they were being followed.
This should have set off some red flags.
Brianna, in addition to being a fitness model, is a content creator - yes, that kind of content - but she needed a place to stay and agreed to the terms.
She quickly found out that the possibility of being spied on by the owners of the beautiful townhouse was the least of her worries. As a result, she issued a warning of her own to Airbnb.
"Count your freakin' days Airbnb. Count your days," Brianna started out her video by saying. "There is a reason why y'all are not doing well and people are going back to hotels."
For starters, there aren't a ton of rules that must be followed, and while you might get the occasional weirdo who installs a camera to keep an eye on you in your hotel room, spying isn't part of the terms and conditions.
Fitness Model Brianna Garcia Probably Didn't Leave The Best Review
Brianna continued, "When I tell you they sent me their entire list of their house rules, when I can play music, how many people I can have here, to ask permission, and then, to top it all off, they said ’we check the cameras very often.'"
With a list that specific and a warning of being spied on, you would think that these hosts would have their stuff together. They did not.
The very first night when she parks her car and attempts to close the garage door, it doesn't close all the way. Now she's by herself in a rented house with an opening to the outside world.
Not ideal. The hosts weren't as concerned as she was about the broken garage door either. Which understandably, Brianna wasn't too happy about.
Then, to top it all off, the power was out in the townhouse in the middle of the work day. Short of not paying their electric bill, the power being out likely wasn't the owner's fault.
But you can respect her for throwing that in as part of her complaint. When you're on a role, you sometimes get lost in it. But at the end of the day, it's all part of one less than ideal experience.
Although, let's be honest, Brianna's stay could have been much worse. Especially when it comes to the use of cameras.
