Incredible 'Fallout' Series Trailer Hits The Web, Features Legendary 'Justified' Star
The trailer for "Fallout" is here, and it's glorious.
The plot of the upcoming series from Amazon is described as follows:
"Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. From executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of Westworld, starring Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and more. All episodes arrive April 11 on Prime Video."
Now, I will be the first to admit that I haven't played the video games because I'm not a gamer, but I am a huge fan of Walton Goggins. I've been interested in this series ever since the first word of it broke.
However, you never truly know whether or not something is going to be solid until you get a look at the first trailer.
Well, it's here and it's incredible. Hammer the play button below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
"Fallout" with Walton Goggins looks amazing.
I can't even begin to tell you all how excited I am for "Fallout." I didn't even play the games, but I know a great TV series when I see one.
This is going to be absolutely outstanding. Walton Goggins is the villain (I think that's correct) in a post-apocalyptic series where all hell has broken loose. Do I really need to say much more?
He played the most well-rounded and ominous villain in TV history when he was Boyd Crowder on "Justified." Goggins was also unbelievable as Shane in "The Shield." The man's ability to play dark characters is unrivaled, and he'll do it once again with "Fallout."
Not only is Walton Goggins in the series, but he's joined by Michael Emerson. Emerson is best known for playing Ben in the all-time great series "Lost."
Throw in the fact Jonathan Nolan ("Westworld") is involved as a director, and it's not hard to understand why excitement is through the roof for "Fallout."
"Fallout" hits Amazon with every episode April 11th, and there's a 100% chance I'll be locked in. Let me know your thoughts on the trailer at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
