Eagles Fan & Instagram Star Genny Shawcross Takes Her Talents To Playboy

I've been sitting on this one for a couple of days hoping that the Instagram embed issue would be resolved in time to cover this properly.  The issue was resolved yesterday afternoon thanks to some hard work on the part of the developers and here we are ready to unpack this news.

Philadelphia Eagles fan, Instagram star, and Screencaps regular, Genny Shawcross has taken the next step in her rise through the ranks of internet stardom.  A resume builder, if you will, on her way to what has been predicted to be an eventual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit appearance.

It was announced earlier this week that Genny had taken her talents, which a growing following of more than 360k on Instagram is very well aware of, over to Playboy.  The news was announced on the official X account, which welcomes you to a "new era of Bunnies."

Does Genny's arrangement in this new era of Bunnies include photo shoots with Playboy or is it strictly a digit, behind a paywall, type of setup?  That I can't answer.

What I can answer is that the announcement set the tone for the entire week.

An announcement like that is how you make some noise during the week of the NFL Draft.  For her fellow Eagles fans, this news has to be right up there with drafting Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell with the No. 22 overall pick.

What a week so far and there are still a few more rounds of the draft to get through before turning the page and shifting the off-season focus over to OTAs.

Good news of this magnitude is exactly what the doctor ordered in Philadelphia, given how poorly the season ended last year.  They needed a huge off-season and so far so good.

They've made some free agent moves, picked up a potential shutdown corner, and found their way over to Playboy.  No wonder it's always sunny in Philadelphia.
