The Rock Shows Off Gross Elbow Injury: VIDEO

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson suffered an elbow injury filming his new movie, and it looks painful.

The popular actor is filming "The Smashing Machine." The film tells the story of MMA fighter and former UFC star Mark Kerr.

Johnson plays Kerr, and it would seem like filming requires some significant physical action, judging from his injury.

Johnson took to Instagram Tuesday to put his elbow injury on display, and it might not be for people with a weak stomach.

It looks like there's a grapefruit hanging off his elbow under the skin. At one point of the video, The Rock literally started poking and pushing the bulge around while noting the pain is significant.

I'm not a doctor, but I might suggest getting someone to look at The Rock's elbow. Having a huge bulge just sticking off your elbow is less than ideal.

I'm not sure how something like this happens. It doesn't look like he dislocated it. It just looks like he's suffering from an incredible amount of inflammation.

Having said that, I 100% approve (not medical advice for anyone else) The Rock hitting the bottle to help numb the pain. Nobody says you have to be sober just because your elbow is jacked up. In fact, if there was ever a reason to kick back and chase a buzz, this might be it.

Get some ice on that bad boy and take it easy for a few days. The last thing anyone wants to do is deal with something like this. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
