Drew Carey: I'm Not Leaving 'The Price Is Right' Unless I Die On Set

The Price is Drew!

Comedian Drew Carey says that he has no plans on leaving the legendary Price is Right gameshow anytime soon.

"As long as my heart is ticking, and they want me to be on the show, I think I’m gonna do ‘The Price Is Right.’ I just love it," the 65-year-old told Entertainment Tonight. "I think I was made for it," Carey added before he said that he is "going to die on stage with a microphone in my hand."

DREW CAREY TOOK OVER FOR BOB BARKER IN 2007

Carey has been hosting the weekday game show ever since Bob Barker retired all the way back in 2007. (How has it been THAT long?!) But he says that Barker actually made a mistake by leaving the show.

"I think Bob made a mistake by retiring," Carey added. "I’m not gonna make that same mistake" Carey, who is also one of the creators of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, added.

DREW CAREY NOT LEAVING PRICE IS RIGHT ANYTIME SOON

As far as host replacements go, Drew Carey has done a fine job of replacing the GOAT in Bob Barker. Whereas a game show like Jeopardy had a mess of a time replacing the late Alex Trebek - that included fill-in hosts like Aaron Rodgers and ultimately original replacement Mayim Bialik getting fired from the show in favor of Ken Jennings, The Price Is Right's transition has gone as well as one could have predicted.

That is of course, unless Drew Carey starts getting cocky thinking that he's irreplaceable. Because whether it's Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Alex Trebek or even Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak, who will be leaving the show and replaced by Ryan Seacrest after this current season, nothing is forever.
