Shocking Number Of Democrats Think Trump Shooting Was Fake: POLL

A shocking number of Democrats believe Donald Trump being shot was staged, according to new polling data.

The Republican nominee and former President was hit in the ear by a bullet when Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire during a Saturday rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last weekend.

The bullet missed hitting his skull by a fraction of an inch. It's nothing short of a miracle that Trump is still alive, but not everyone was as lucky as him. One attendee was killed shielding his family and two others were wounded.

Many Democrats seem to think it's fake.

Many Democrats believe Trump shooting was staged, according to polling data.

Polling data from Morning Consult shows 34% of registered Democrats believe it's "definitely credible" or "probably credible" that the shooting was staged, according to The Washington Free Beacon. Another 18% of Democrats don't know/aren't sure whether the shooting was real.

You can check out all the data in the tweet from Andrew Kerr - one of the best reporters in media - below.

Let me be as clear as possible with my reaction. It's absolutely insane to believe Donald Trump or anyone else staged this shooting.

It's all on video. You can literally see Trump turn his head right before the bullet hit his ear. If he hadn't turned, it's almost a certainty that he'd be dead.

I'm not even sure I understand the theory that it was staged. In order to believe the conspiracy theory, you have to believe Trump was okay with a shooter firing directly at his head and trusting that it'd only graze his ear and not drill his skull.

Does anyone with a functioning brain believe Trump or anyone else on the planet is okay with someone attempting that shot? Furthermore, Crooks was lit up by a counter-sniper. In this unhinged theory, did he agree to get killed in order to stage a shooting?

Plus, innocent people were killed and wounded. The theory would require people to believe Donald Trump was fine with bullets being fired into a crowd of his supporters. It makes no sense at all.

The video of the shooting is all over the internet. It's hard to believe there's anyone with internet access that hasn't seen it yet. If someone sees that video and still believes it's fake, then they might be beyond helping. It was 100% real, and while there are a lot of questions about security failures that must be answered, there's no shot in hell it was fake.
