Days After Vowing To Fight Conviction, Donald Trump Will Attend UFC Fight In New Jersey On Saturday
Donald Trump had a rough week.
On Thursday, the 45th President of the United States was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records during the 2016 presidential election. To learn that news at any point in time - much less in the middle of a campaign to get back in the White House - is certainly a stressful pill to swallow.
So, what’s his course of action for the future? How is Trump going to respond to such disheartening news?
Well for starters, he’s going to a UFC fight.

On Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, Trump will be in attendance for the UFC 302 fight. There are 12 combats on tap, with the main card featuring top-ranked lightweight champion Islam Makhachev facing off against No. 4 Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier.
Dana White, the president of UFC, will likely welcome Trump to the event, as he and Trump have a strong friendship.
"My relationship with Trump is a 20-year relationship. I’ve been friends with this guy for 20 years, and when he shows up to the fights," White said back in February. "The guy is a fight fan. He’s been a fight fan."
I’m no expert on how to deal with bad news or stressful life events, but what Trump is doing seems like an excellent move. Instead of sitting at home and dwelling on it, he’s keeping his mind preoccupied with something he really enjoys (he’s attended UFC fights in the past).
Oh, and right after that, he’ll fly out to California for a fundraising tour, just because he can.
If I have half of the energy and drive that this man has now when I’m in my 70s, I’ll consider that a massive win.
