Devastated Wife: I Caught My Husband In Bed With My Mom

A marriage of six years was turned completely upside down after the wife learned that what she thought was a rough patch in their otherwise "solid" relationship was much more.  Her husband was a cheater and the person that he cheated on her with is unforgivable.

The 26-year-old says she met her 34-year-old husband in college.  They had been married for six years and were considering starting a family.  Everything was going smoothly until about a month ago.  That's when she noticed a change in her husband's behavior.

Instead of jumping to conclusions, she says she started working harder on their marriage.  The woman said, according to The Mirror, "He was being more secretive with his phone, and our intimacy, both sexual and emotional, had dwindled."

"I tried to brush it off as stress from work or maybe just a rough patch, I began to work harder on my marriage, cooking things he likes, taking on more overtime, making sure everything was in perfect condition at home etc."

That's a good place to start.  No need to go straight to he's cheating.  Although, that turned out to be the case.  She had to leave work early a couple of weeks ago and came home to something even more sickening than whatever she had come down with.

The woman found her husband in bed with her 57-year-old mom.  She says, "I walked into our bedroom and found them together.  It felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest."

"They didn't notice me at first, and I was frozen, unable to move or even breathe," she continued.  "When they finally saw me, the looks on their faces were a mix of guilt and horror."

This Devastated Wife Had Insult Added To Injury

Mom had an explanation ready to go about why the two were in bed together.  According to her, it "just happened" and they had no intentions of hurting her.  Of course not, their plan was to sneak around behind her back and never get caught.

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at the situation, that didn't happen.  They were caught and the daughter/wife was devastated by what she had witnessed.  Her husband, on the other hand, didn't have much to offer up at the time and remained silent.

The bottom line, the two people she had trusted most had betrayed her.  She left, did some laps around the neighborhood before reaching out to a friend.

When it finally came time to confront her husband about the situation, he had come up with an excuse for why he cheated.  It wasn't a good one, but it was an excuse nonetheless.  The entire situation was actually the wife's fault.

That's a hell of a spin - this dude should run for office.  The reason it was her fault and not his or his mother-in-law's is the simple fact that she's infertile.  His excuse is, "That I couldn't have children and he was entitled to sleep with whomever he wanted if I couldn't do something most women were capable of."

Why her mom?  Well, he had an answer for that.  The traditional values that his wife wasn't even aware he had made her mom an obvious choice.  She was "better because she was a stay-at-home mom that was capable of having kids."

That's an unnecessary twist of the knife if I've ever seen one.  If you ask me, she dodged a major bullet here.  Yes, she's devastated and getting over that and the upcoming divorce isn't going to be any fun, but she's still in her 20s and now knows her mom is a no-good husband stealer.

That's something you can't pick up at a strip mall and definitely don't want to find out after you start a family, whether you have kids together or adopt.
