Dennis Quaid Stars As Ronald Reagan In Upcoming Cold War Movie: PREVIEW
Dennis Quaid stars as Ronald Reagan in an upcoming movie, and viewers have a sneak peek at what to expect when it's released.
The star actor plays the former President in "Reagan," and the plot is described as follows:
"Told through the voice of Viktor Petrovich, a former KGB agent whose life becomes inextricably linked with Ronald Reagan’s when Reagan first caught the Soviets’ attention as an actor in Hollywood, this film offers a perspective as unique as it is captivating. Quaid brings to life a story that transcends the boundaries of a traditional biopic, offering a profound exploration of the enduring impact of the power of one man who overcame the odds, sustained by the love of a woman who supported him in his journey."
Sounds pretty interesting. Well, we also now have our first look. Give the sneak peek a play below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

It appears the movie might not have the highest production value or biggest budget, but I'll watch anything related to the Cold War and the Soviet Union.
For our young OutKick readers, there was a time when the Soviet Union was America's most feared enemy for decades. The fear of nuclear war was always present and very real.
Former President Ronald Reagan went toe-to-toe with the Soviets in the closing days of the communist empire. He promoted American military might as a way to deter Soviet aggression, and the Star Wars defense system is one of the most famous ideas ever cooked up.
The concept was simple. America would throw up a bunch of systems into space that would use lasers to shoot down Soviet missiles. The technology wasn't even close to being realistic, but it still scared the hell out of the Soviets. If their missiles were rendered useless, then mutually assured destruction no longer existed. America could nuke the Soviet Union without fear of getting nuked in return.
It appears "Reagan" will take a hard look at the program and Reagan's time in office when it came to dealing with the unwashed communists.
"Reagan" hits theaters August 30, and I might have to check it out. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
