Planes Nearly Collide At Major Airport, Air Traffic Control Screaming: AUDIO

Tragedy nearly unfolded Thursday at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

A JetBlue plane was taxiing down the runway when a Southwest aircraft nearly entered the runway space. The planes got horrifically close, which could have ended in an absolute disaster.

Air Traffic Control audio shows people screaming in the tower as they demand the planes stop. You can listen to the insane audio below, and send me your thoughts to David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Horrific near miss happens at DCA.

How does stuff like this even happen? Travel has become a joke in America. A plane recently had a door ripped off mid-flight, a wheel fell off a plane in March and there was now a shocking near miss at DCA.

Who is running the show? Who is responsible for making sure these constant mistakes don't happen? Getting on a plane used to not be that bad. Pop a few beers at the airport bar, throw your headphones on and go to sleep.

Now, it seems like Russian roulette when you take to the skies. Even if the plane doesn't fall apart or nearly crash, you might have to fight a passenger. It's simply wild times up in the air these days, and it's downright embarrassing incidents like these keep happening.

A lot of people could have died if those planes had hit each other. Fortunately, that did not happen.

Also, if you ever want to read about something very interesting, check out the crash of United Airlines Flight 553 (Wiki page here). I had several family members killed on that plane, and some who survived. Crashes have always fascinated me. Luckily, we're not talking about any deaths this morning from the incident Thursday at DCA. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
