Danny Amendola Responds To Rumors That He's Dating The Next Kate Upton, SI Swimsuit Rookie Xandra Pohl

Rumors have been swirling online about a relationship between former New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rookie Xandra Pohl since the two of them were spotted together at Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction at Gillette Stadium on June 12.

After the sighting, Barstool's Dave Portnoy added to the rumor mill during an episode of his BFFs podcast when he told his co-hosts, "So Xandra is dating Danny Amendola."

Portnoy then clarified his statement by saying, "I don’t know if dating is the right word.  Well, I was there [at Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction].  They’re together.  Yeah, we saw it in action."

He continued, "They walked in… let me put it this way.  Let me rephrase.  Xandra was Danny Amendola’s date for this thing.  What they’re doing beyond that… but he definitely took her as his date."

Those rumors heated up a couple of days ago when a TikTok sleuth discovered that Xandra had been posting on social media from what appeared to be inside of Amendola's Austin home.  She also called the former NFL star a serial cheater and pointed out that he's 38, and she's 23.

The video prompted a response from Amendola, who didn't confirm or deny the relationship with Xandra Pohl.  He did, however - allegedly - slide into the online detective's DMs to respond to the video.

According to the online detective, he started his response off by saying, "Creepy life you lead.  I feel bad for you."

She explained to him that he didn't need to feel bad, because she makes a living as an investigative journalist.  Amendola, again, according to the screenshots the investigative journalist provided, wasn't having any of it.

He allegedly fired back with, "Spreading gossip based on rumors about people you’ve never met.  There is no artistic integrity.  That is not journalism.  You may get a little coin, but you sold your soul.  Again..  I feel bad for you.  And I’m not concerned lol.  Have a good one"

Now, if that was in fact Amendola responding to the video, I'd argue, for whatever reason, that he's a little concerned.  Otherwise, who cares about being linked to an SI Swimsuit model who's being handed titles like the "Kate Upton of Our Generation?"

To be clear about that, and this is where the real Big J work kicks in here, Xandra might be the Kate Upton of Zach's generation, but she's not the Kate Upton of my generation.  I'm a little bit older and Kate Upton is the Kate Upton of my generation.

That's not to say the comparison is invalid.  You can certainly understand the comparison.  The talent is there.  The clicks are there.  It's all a matter of whether she's able to capitalize on her SI Swimsuit appearance the way Upton did.

That's yet to be seen, but Xandra is off to a decent start.  She burst onto the scene and in May was spotted hanging out with the former rugby player turned Kansas City Chiefs running back Louis Rees-Zammit.

That got the internet buzzing and this whole possible relationship with a retired NFL player who has a Miss Universe on his ex-girlfriend roster isn't going to hurt with name recognition.
