Creed Singer Scott Stapp And Wife Divorcing After 18 Years Ahead Of Tour Reunion

Creed singer Scott Stapp will soon have his Arms Wide Open but only this time, it won't be for his wife.

The rock band's lead singer and now former wife Jaclyn have gotten divorced after 18 years of marriage. The move comes as Creed has had a resurgence of late as they gear up for their first headlining tour in over a decade.

The Stapp's have had a complicated relationship in recent years. Jaclyn had originally filed for divorce back in 2022 but then withdrew it, only to have Scott file his own divorce a year later. The couple share three children together.

CREED ANNOUNCED THEIR RETURN LAST YEAR

"Out of respect for their family, Scott intends to navigate this difficult time privately," a representative for Stapp told People. "Scott and Jaclyn had determined the marriage was over but continued to try to make it work," a separate source told the media outlet.

Scott Stapp has been open about the difficulties that he's faced both personally and with his relationships. In 2015, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, because of what is believed to have been caused by his alcohol and drug use.

SCOTT AND HIS EX-WIFE SHARE THREE CHILDREN TOGETHER

Formed in Tallahasee, Florida in 2004, Creed is one of the most successful rock bands in the modern era. Their three multi-platinum albums have sold over 53 million copies worldwide as they went on to become one of the top 10 best-selling artists of the 2000s.

After becoming somewhat of a pop culture nostalgic reference in recent years, last year Creed  announced that they would be touring once again across the country. The band's "Summer of '99" and "Are You Ready" tours kick off in July and will go till December as the band will play over 60 shows across the United States and Canada.

Last year, they went viral multiple times as the Texas Rangers played their hit song "Higher" throughout what would eventually become their World Series Championship run.

No word if they will be playing this year's Thanksgiving Halftime Show.

… Although we can only hope!
