Netflix Teases Upcoming Connor Stalions Movie: DETAILS
College football fans are in for a treat with an upcoming Netflix documentary about Connor Stalions.
The former Michigan staffer became a legend/villain in the college football world when it was discovered that he was running a complex sign stealing operation.
Stalions (known as CIA Stalions to some) lost his job, Jim Harbaugh was suspended three games, the program came under intense scrutiny, but none of it stopped the Wolverines from winning the national title.
Now, the world will get a look at one of the biggest scandals in college football history from Stalions' point of view.
Netflix announces Connor Stalions documentary.
An OutKick reader emailed me a few months back that Netflix crews were going in and out of where Stalions lives. I figured they must be filming an "Untold" documentary.
That is now official.
The streaming giant announced "Sign Stealer" will premiere August 27th, and the former Michigan staffer will share "his side of Michigan's alleged sign-stealing scheme that turned him into a viral villain."
There is no trailer yet.
I'm sure Stalions secured himself a really nice paycheck from Netflix for the streaming giant to make this film with his participation.
He's one of the most notorious men in all of college football. A hero to the Michigan faithful. A villain to the rest of the country, but at the end of the day, he's loyal as hell.
Stalions refused to cooperate with the investigations, we still don't know if he was in disguise on CMU's sideline and he never ratted on anyone. He fell on his sword for Michigan. Deep down, we all wish a guy like that existed for our programs.
Also, the "Untold" series from Netflix is outstanding. "Johnny Football," "The Girlfriend Who Didn't Exist" and "Crimes & Penalties" are all must-watch documentaries.
Now, Stalions will get the same treatment and I can't wait to check it out August 27th. It's the perfect way to get the juices flowing for the college football season. Make sure to check back for whenever the trailer drops, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
