Sinister Trailer Drops For Religious Thriller Movie With Stacked Cast
The trailer for "Conclave" will have you on the edge of your seat.
The plot of the film with Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci is described as follows:
From director Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front), Conclave follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – selecting a new Pope. Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is tasked with running this covert process after the unexpected death of the beloved Pope. Once the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders have gathered from around the world and are locked together in the Vatican halls, Lawrence finds himself at the center of a conspiracy and discovers a secret that could shake the very foundation of The Church.
Does that get your pulse racing just a little bit? A mysterious conspiracy? Check. The choosing of the next Pope? Check. Nothing is what it seems? Remains to be seen, but what if the plot doesn't grab your interest, the trailer will.

"Conclave" trailer released.
I can only speak for myself, but this movie looks wildly intriguing. It's based on a book of the same name from the popular author Robert Harris.
I've never read it, and before you email me asking if I will, the answer is almost certainly no. I've already seen the trailer, and would definitely prefer to go in blind at this point.
What I will say is that it looks awesome and the cast is outstanding. Ralph Fiennes is one of the best actors in the world. He's been in many big hits, and most of our younger readers probably know him as Voldemort from the "Harry Potter" franchise.
The man is incredibly talented, and he's joined by the always outstanding Stanley Tucci and John Lithgow. Throw in the fact that many of us love content about conspiracies, and it's hard to imagine this movie isn't going to hit the spot for many viewers.
"Conclave" hits theaters November 8 (via IMDB), and I'll definitely be giving it a shot. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
