Cameron Brink's Torn ACL Didn't Keep Her From Doing Some Pregame Modeling
Cameron Brink's rookie season in the WNBA came to an unfortunate end in June when the forward suffered a torn ACL. That doesn’t mean she's not going to be seen at any more Los Angeles Sparks games.
The No. 2 pick might not be able to contribute on the court, but she can contribute off it by getting in on the pregame modeling sessions. She did just that on Friday night and showed off her recovery from her knee injury in the process.
While the 22-year-old is far from ready to step back on the court, she was able to remove her knee brace to properly show off her fit ahead of the Sparks win over the Las Vegas Aces.
It's a win-win for Brink and I would expect to see more of her despite being out for the season.
Cameron Brink Is Setting Herself Up Nicely For A Strong Season Next Year
Brink gets to show support for her teammates and continue to learn the ropes as a rookie in the league, and she gets to self-promote and build her brand. All of those things are important.
We can't forget, she's doing some modeling on the side and already has her eyes on a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit appearance. Staying locked in with the locker room is going to payoff and so is staying in front of the camera.
Having your rookie year come to an end because of an injury isn't ideal, but it's how you respond to that and bounce back that makes all the difference.
So far so good on that front. I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of Cameron Brink off the floor as her recovery continues.
