Brock Bowers' Girlfriend Rose Newell Is Ready For Las Vegas, Celebrates The Tight End Becoming A Raider
Both Brock Bowers and his girlfriend Rose Newell were on lists of names to watch heading into the first-round of this year's NFL Draft on Thursday night. The Georgia tight end was expected to be the first at his position selected and his girlfriend was expected to steal some of the draft night spotlight.
As predicted, that's how things played out. Bowers was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 13 overall pick. The two-time national champion was at home in Napa, California for the draft surrounded by friends and family.
Rose was there by his side, not being boxed out by his mother, as was his dad, his mom and his sister. The full house caught some of social media's attention with his dad's reaction and his sister's leg tattoo sleeve earning some reactions.
There was even some speculation that Bowers being drafted by the Raiders, who already have a young tight end they used a high second-round pick on last year, means that they're trying to lure Tom Brady out of retirement. Those kind of rumors are always fun.
So is entering the NFL. Once your name is called, you get right to work. It's time for the press conferences, get the rookie deal signed, then off-season workouts and, before you know it, you're suiting up for a few preseason snaps.
But before all of that is the celebration. Rose knows this, and she was on top of that on Friday afternoon with a congratulatory post for her favorite tight end and new Las Vegas Raider.
Brock Bowers And Rose Newell Are Ready To Take Their Talents To Las Vegas
All around a solid draft performance by everyone. As I said, it's time to do some celebrating before getting back to work. Now you have to live up to the first-round selection.
Unfortunately, not everyone meets expectations. There are draft busts and WAGs who don't survive their rookie seasons. Look no further than Gia Duddy, who had about as solid of a draft as you could have.
The transition from the college level to the pros can take its toll on the best. That said, Brock Bowers and his Tennessee girlfriend, Rose Newell, appear to be ready for whatever the NFL and Las Vegas throws their way.
