Boy Scouts Drop 'Boy' From Official Name As America Takes Another L
When it comes to anything involving gender in the United States, nothing is sacred anymore. The Boy Scouts of America have officially subscribed to the ‘politically correct’ culture, erasing American history and tradition by officially dropping ‘Boy’ from its name.
The Boy Scouts of America dates back to 1910 with a stated purpose "to teach [boys] patriotism, courage, self-reliance, and kindred values." Unfortunately, none of those characteristics are made a priority in most places around the U.S. today, and with vocal radical leftists not accepting gender unless it fits their twisted agenda, the Boy Scouts have caved.
The organization has announced it will re-brand to Scouting America, "reflecting the organization’s ongoing commitment to welcome every youth and family in America to experience the benefits of Scouting."
The organization's statement also stated that the change comes five years after it first welcomed girls into Boy Scouts.
"This announcement also comes as the organization celebrates the fifth anniversary of welcoming girls into Cub Scouting and Scouts BSA programs. Scouting America currently serves more than 176,000 girls and young women across all programs, including over 6,000 who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. "
The Incredibly Dark Cloud Over The Boy Scouts Of America
While the Boy Scouts are steeped in some rich history, the organization has been in the middle of a deplorable firestorm over the last handful of years.

The policy change allowing girls to join separate, gender-specific groups in 2019 came just over a year before the organization filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. In November 2020, it was disclosed in bankruptcy filings that over 92,000 former scouts had reported sexual abuse by members of the organization.
The Boy Scouts of America ultimately agreed to pay over $800 million into a fund for survivors, with payments officially beginning in September 2023.
The name change will go into effect on February 8, 2025, the date of the organization's 115th anniversary.
