Boston Mayor Michelle Wu Wanted To Decriminalize Crimes Like Theft, Shoplifting And Ged Rid Of Gang Registry

We already knew Boston's Democratic Mayor Michelle Wu was lenient on crime. Now we know just how uninterested in keeping Boston free of "quality of life" crimes.

Newly unveiled documents show that Wu, who you may recall famously decided to have a non-White holiday party for her city council members this past winter, wanted to decriminalize a number of crimes.

According to a 2021 Boston Mayoral Candidate Questionnaire that was distributed by the group Progressive Massachusetts, Mayor Wu revealed some of her true intentions. She was asked a number of questions about the legal environment in Boston. The now 39-year-old Democratic Mayor responded at the time that she believed that those who commit so-called "quality of life" crimes should not be prosecuted. What does this include? Oh, you know just theft, shoplifting, larceny, disorderly conduct, driving with a suspended license and more.

I was unaware that we were passing off robbery and shoplifting as a "Quality of life" crime these days, but apparently in Boston that's what the Mayor wanted.

Maybe Mayor Wu needs to look closer at the amount of shoplifting going on at various retail stores in her city - not all of those people stealing things are in desperate need of a dollar in order to survive. Rather, they are just reacting to the madness they've seen in other states such as Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia, New York, Seattle and more. The increase in crime has led to not only people but also businesses and corporations either shutting down, such as Wawa in multiple Philly locations, or leaving the state entirely.

THAT'S NOT ALL THOUGH

In an even more disturbing revelation, Mayor Wu also said that Boston's gang database should be disbanded… ya know, because that makes sense.

Imagine seeing the current situation that the United States is in with the overwhelming influx of migrants - not all by the way who have good intentions (as we've seen time and time again) and being like "Oh, let's just get rid of all the gang information!"

Let's not forget that the Mayor also faced intense criticism last year when it was revealed that she may have used her leverage and requested authorities to monitor her critics - including restaurant owners that disagreed with her Covid shutdown policies, and media critics!

Heck of a city you've got going on right now, Boston! Congratulations!
