Bill Maher Embarrasses 'View' Host On Israel/Hamas War

Bill Maher was cooking on "The View" when it came to discussing the Israel/Hamas war.

Israel remains engaged in military operations against Hamas in Gaza following the October 7th terrorist attack that left roughly 1,200 Israelis dead.

The war in Gaza was brutal and unrelenting in the opening days as the air campaign ratcheted up before the ground war kicked off. Not only has the war been brutal, but the backlash has also been intense at times. Idiots across America have actually rallied in support of a terrorist organization, and the media seems to love to push a narrative that there's no bad people in Gaza - just innocent women and children.

Bill Maher did his best to pour cold water all over those delusional fantasies.

Bill Maher educates "The View" on the realities of war.

"View" host Sunny Hostin, who is painful to listen to at times, asked Maher what he thought about innocent people dying and the ICC pursuing an arrest warrant against Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

It was off the races from there, and Maher had one very important point to make:

It's a war against a terrorist organization.

Bad things happen in war. Welcome to reality, hosts of "The View." You can watch the truly impressive masterclass starting around 3:00, and let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Props to Bill Mahe for not playing the "whataboutism" game with Hostin. Do innocent people die in war? Yes. Is it tragic and sad? Absolutely, but it's a war.

Innocent people died in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the GWOT and any other war you can possibly name. The brutality of war doesn't discriminate.

It's made much worse in the Israel/Hamas war because the terrorists hide among the civilian population. Hamas doesn't wear uniforms and follow the rules laid out in the Geneva Convention.

The blood is on their hands when innocent people are killed as they hide among them. It might not make it any less tragic and heartbreaking, but facts matter.

Maher, to his credit, didn't back down at all to Hostin's framing of the situation, and he shouldn't have. Why aren't the people slamming Israel also demanding Hamas surrender without conditions? That could end all of this right now.

War is brutal, and it's not something that should be celebrated. However, it's often necessary, and as bad as it is when innocent people die, it's the nature of the beast. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
