Bill Maher Blasts People Happy Trump Got Shot: VIDEO
Bill Maher thinks it's absurd anyone would be celebrating Donald Trump getting shot.
The Republican nominee took a bullet to the ear during a campaign rally after Thomas Matthews Crooks opened fire from a rooftop position. It's nothing short of a miracle that the former POTUS is alive.
A slight turn of his head to look at a big screen saved his life. Instead of the bullet striking his skull, it clipped his ear.
Rational people across the political spectrum have been condemning the shooting. Unfortunately, there are also plenty of people who seem happy and also claim Trump was never shot. Maher has had enough.
Bill Maher rips people celebrating Donald Trump being shot.
The "Real Time with Bill Maher" host spoke to his audience Friday night about the shooting, and made it clear celebrating a politician getting shot is never acceptable.
"You should be as angry about [the shooting] as if the candidate you like got shot. You should," the popular comedian told his viewers.
"I was in Minneapolis that day. It happened just a few hours before I had to go on stage. The first thing I said was, 'There will be people who find this funny. Not me.' There will be people - and there already have been - who made the joke, 'Oh, it's a shame this didn't work, this assassination attempt.' Not me. Liberals don't shoot each other, and they don't revel in it and they don't wish for it. That's what I would say to Donald Trump. I'm glad you're okay because if you weren't, I couldn't keep making jokes about you and I really want to," Maher further told his audience.

Once again, Maher remains a common sense voice on the left. Some of the reactions to Donald Trump nearly being assassinated have been nothing short of disgusting.
I saw it firsthand. I saw people celebrating the news. They were behaving like their team just won the Super Bowl. Is that where we're at now in America? Do we celebrate politicians getting shot? I certainly hope not. We can't let that become normal.
Turning down the temp is a good idea, even if AOC doesn't get the memo.
We can't ever normalize the celebration of violence and attempted murders in this country. It doesn't matter what your political beliefs are. It simply can't be okay to celebrate someone you disagree with getting shot. Maher has handled the situation great since it happened, and he continues to be a voice of reason. Hopefully, more follow his lead. Let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
