Biden Campaign Co-Chair Cries on Live TV Over Biden Decision

While most of the Democrat Party is vividly cheerful over Joe Biden's decision to bow out of the 2024 election, Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.), national co-chair of President Biden’s reelection campaign, is crying.

Literally.

Coons appeared on CBS News in the aftermath of Biden's announcement tearful and lost for words.

"Joe Biden is grounded. He is grounded in his faith and his family and his state," Coons said before the tears came out. "I am sorry."

Coons added that he does not know when we will hear from Harris, but says he supports her as the nominee. Biden also endorsed Harris as the nominee during his announcement letter.

"My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President," the president posted on X.

"And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this."

Harris is the heavy favorite to win be Democrat nominee, per the betting market. Still, she trails Trump in odds to win the general election, +275 to -161.

Frankly, we won't knock Coon for crying on national television. Maybe Biden is his friend, his pal. We don't deny that. The issue with Joe Biden is not how he treats his friends, but how he runs the country.

Between the chaos at the border, rampant inflation, and American Last policies – Biden will likely go down as second worst U.S. president, behind only James Buchanan.

That, Biden's presidency, has Americans crying.
