What's The Best Summer Beer? Debate Rages Online

What's the best beer to drink with the summer sun beating down on you?

The weather is finally starting to heat up across the country and with Memorial Day - the unofficial start of summer for many - behind us, I've found myself thinking a bit about drinking some beers on the back balcony of the Hookstead Compound (location classified).

As any free American knows, there are few better feelings in life than sitting on a porch or balcony in the summer drinking an ice-cold beer. I'm sure that's what Jefferson and Washington envisioned when they created this awesome country.

OutKick readers reveal their favorite summer beers.

Naturally, I had to take the topic to the readers. What's the best beer to enjoy on a crispy summer afternoon? Turns out the answers are all over the place.

Check out the responses below, and hit me with your favorite beer at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.

Damn, is it just me or did we all just get very thirsty? I don't know what time it is where you are, but I might have the urge to crack one open sooner than later after reading all those awesome suggestions.

My rankings are very simple as you can see in the tweet below. Modelo is king in the summer, but I have a few other options I can rotate through.

The first sip of Modelo hitting the tongue is what I imagine fighter jet pilots experience when they roar through the sky. Once the first drop hits, you know you're in for a great day of sunshine and fun.

Do you have a favorite summer beer that you didn't mention on Twitter? I want to hear about it at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
