Baker Mayfield's Wife Emily Is So Excited About Staying In Tampa She Forgot To Put Pants On Before Celebrating
The quarterback market this off-season has been filled with action. There have been big-name free agents finding new homes with names like Russell Wilson and Kirk Cousins finding new homes.
There have even been quarterbacks in starting roles last year being traded to new teams where they're likely to serve as the team's backup. Mac Jones was sent to Jacksonville with Sam Howell being shipped off to Seattle.
One quarterback who isn't going anywhere is Baker Mayfield. After a couple of off-seasons where he changed teams, he found a home in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers.
Following a season where he led the Bucs to their third straight NFC South title and a home playoff game win, the 28-year-old signed a three-year, $100 million deal to stay put in Tampa.
Nobody was happier about staying put this off-season than his pregnant wife, Emily Mayfield. She was so excited, in fact, that she celebrated the news without any pants on.
Obviously, that's an exaggeration on my part. She's a veteran after all and has followed Baker from Cleveland to Charlotte to Los Angeles and now Tampa.
Baker Mayfield's Wife Had This Locked And Loaded For The Moment He Re-Signed
She knew his signing was the perfect opportunity to share some more pregnancy bump pics. So that's exactly what she did.
Emily tossed on a Bucs sweatshirt, set the location to Tampa, and slapped a "Here to stay" caption complete with a heart. There's no need to throw on any pants for this one.
Emily fired it off and let it do its thing. A couple of hundred comments later to go along with ten thousand likes and the Mayfields are staying put in Tampa post is complete.
They have three years now to terrorize the NFC South, and that includes my Carolina Panthers. A team that didn't give him a fair shot at succeeding.
There's a reason he's winning playoff games and signing $100 million deals and the Panthers are winning two games with a quarterback they shouldn't have drafted.
The Mayfields should consider not catching on with the Panthers as a bullet dodged. I'm sure they do, and I'm sure they're looking forward to playing the Panthers twice a year for at least the next three years.
Congratulations to the Mayfields.
