Austin Street Brawls: 'Earthquake' Dropped Via Cop's 50k Volts!
Let's get weird.
While Austin's notorious 6th Street bar scene was rather quiet for this time of year, that didn't deter the Spielberg of 6th Street, the person responsible for recording Austin street fights in high-definition and horizontally so they'll fit perfectly on a TV screen.
'Spielberg' eventually caught a multi-idiot street fight outside Toulouse Lounge, which is across the street from the Museum of Weird.
That's your run-of-the-mill Austin street fight where possibly drunk combatants are trading punches right in the street as what looks to be a future bride on her bachelorette trip casually strolls by with food.
But then we get the real news here: Austin cops were playing. Watch how fast ‘Earthquake’ is popped with that cops' 50k volt Taser.
‘Quake’ goes down like he pulled a hammy right there in the middle of the street. Never even saw it coming. One second he's trying to throw a downfield block and the next minute he's calling for a trainer.
Also, I watched hundreds of Austin street fight videos via the Spielberg of 6th Street and I can't remember the police deploying their Tasers this fast. Typically, they'll get in there and pull off the pugilists. Not last night, that's for sure.
We might be seeing a new policy out of the police force as summer heats up.
It's been a rather intense six-month period for the 6th Street scene where a 29-year-old man was shot and killed by police back in December when the guy tried to carry a gun into a bar. Police tried to approach Trei Hernandez, but he pulled the gun and fired towards officers and bystanders.
Three cops fired back.
In January, the police body cam footage was released.
