Austin Butler Shows Off Impressive Gun Skills: VIDEO
Actor Austin Butler is solid with a gun in his hands.
Butler's incredible rise in Hollywood continues to impress fans around the world. "Dune: Part Two" hit theaters last Friday, "Masters of the Air" is the best show on TV right now and his upcoming movie "City on Fire" should be awesome.
Turns out that he can do more than just act. He can also send some lead down range. Taran Tactical shared a video of the "Elvis" star working through draws and reloads on handguns and rifles and then quick firing with a pistol.
Check out the awesome video below, and let me know what you think at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
Austin Butler is impressive with a gun.
Just how impressive was Butler on the gun? A former military special operator with extensive CQB experience spoke to me about Butler's skills and said the following:
Austin has only been training with Taran for 2 days in this video, and yet in that short of a time period, he was already showing textbook form. He was drawing and presenting his pistol perfectly, he was conducting speed reloads like they were already well-ingrained muscle memory, both his isosceles and weaver stances were flawless, he was shouldering and sighting in with his rifle like he actually served in combat arms (without even chicken-winging like most untrained civilians do) and he shot quickly and accurately. The only thing missing in terms of perfectly portraying his upcoming character in "Heat 2" is the speed that his character, a former Force Recon Marine, would move in real life. But that’s just a matter of Austin putting in the reps, which I’m sure he’ll do before filming begins. He’s already well on his way.
There you have it, folks. Someone trained at the highest level imaginable saw Butler's video was wildly impressive. I agree with his assessment.
The man is incredibly fast out of the holster, can swap mags in the blink of an eye and clearly doesn't struggle with his shot placement.
Is there anything Austin Butler can't do?
Props to Austin Butler for being good with firearms. You simply love to see it. Let me know at David.Hookstead@outkick.com if you agree!
