Boat Crashes Into North Carolina Beach In Wild Video, Scene Resembles Apocalypse Film

A bizarre scene unfolded this past weekend in North Carolina.

A relatively large boat crashed into a beach area where people were lounging around in Atlantic Beach. I'm not talking about a situation where it accidentally got lost and couldn't turn before running ashore.

Footage of the incident shared by WFLA shows the boat flying directly at the beach without slowing down or turning.

A total of seven people were on the boat, and two had to be hospitalized after the incident, according to WFLA.

You can watch the truly strange footage of the incident below.

Boat runs ashore in North Carolina in wild video.

As the video shows, the boat was on a straight line for the beach. I'm not even sure what could cause something like this to happen.

As of publication, the authorities don't appear to have solved what happened. Is it possible the steering wheel got stuck? If so, why not kill the engines? It just doesn't add up.

What it definitely does remind me of is the boat scene from "Leave the World Behind." This boat is much smaller, but similar vibes.

We already have enough things to worry about in the ocean. There are sharks out there who would love to make you a quick afternoon snack.

Now, people on the beach have to worry about boats just crashing into the sand and ruining their day. Tough times to be a fan of hitting the water.
